R. Keith Gordon
Keith formed Lodestone Legal Group to provide quality legal services at competitive prices to businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the greater Nashville market .
Prior to forming Lodestone Legal Group, Keith worked for a full-service law firm based in Nashville and as in-house counsel for two national publicly traded companies.. In these roles, he oversaw site selection, contract negotiations, franchising, and licensing across the United States. Before becoming an attorney, he was an active real estate agent based in Wichita, Kansas representing national tenants, landlords, and developers.
Born in Williamsburg, Virginia, Keith has had the good fortune of having lived all over the world as a military dependent. Keith and his wife have fallen in love with the Greater Nashville area and the wonderful opportunities that it provides and are glad to call this area home. Keith and his wife, home school their three children. They enjoy participating in soccer, 4H activities, horseback riding, hiking and cultural events in the middle Tennessee area.
Keith attended Wichita State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in May of 2000 and thereafter attended Stetson University College of Law where he obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, cum laude in May of 2003 and is a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honors fraternity. While in Law School Keith served as a Stetson Ambassador, a select group that served as mentors for the incoming first year law students.
Keith is a LEED AP, an accreditation indicating proficiency in green and sustainable development by the Green Building Certification Institute; an accreditation held by less than a thousand attorneys in the US.
Keith's practice is focused in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, green/sustainable development, franchising and corporate and small business planning and serves a variety of clients under our General Counsel model. He is the proud recipient of the 2018 Drinker-Biddle Top General Counsel Award for his work with one of our general counsel clients.
He is a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Tennessee Renewable Energy & Economic Development Council, and the U.S. Green Building Council – Middle Tennessee Chapter. In addition to being the founding member of Lodestone Legal Group, Keith continues his commitment to sustainable development and is actively involved in SEIA, TenneSEIA, as both a board member and as General Counsel, SEPA, and a variety of other national renewable energy associations. Keith has had the good fortune on working on close to 2.8 GW of solar development in the past few years and is always looking for new and exciting ways to partner with our clients on their continued growth and success.
